Realtor Safety & Beyond
In 2016, Gary Tabke, owner and lead investigator at Tabke & Associates, Private Investigations, became aware of the number of assaults nationwide, perpetrated upon real estate agents while performing their jobs in the field. The statistics from the National Association of Realtors were alarming. Gary met with a number of brokers and agents to discuss the situation and to study their habits while showing homes and hosting open houses. The result of these efforts is a comprehensive "Realtor Safety Clinic", designed to keep agents safer and protect brokers from being sued.
The presentation covers in depth:
- Creating a safe working environment
- Pre-planning showings & open houses
- Situational awareness
- Improvised weapons
- “Quick-exit” self defense
Gary has presented to the offices of Keller-Williams, Berkshire Hathaway, Better Homes & Gardens, J. Rockcliff, Intero and a host of others. He also presented at the 2018 California Notary Symposium. No distance is too far to bring this unique program to you. The popularity and demand for these safety clinic’s has spread into a number of other areas of concern and resulted in Gary adapting the material for mobile notaries, women’s groups, teen groups and numerous businesses regarding employee safety.

"It was informative, helpful and eye opening and . . . was more than just realtor safety. It was Open House 101, personal safety and overall good business practice/protocol, all in one! Gary is a great presenter and knowledgeable about our jobs, agents showing homes, meeting clients and unfortunately . . . he knows about the behaviors of some bad people out there and predators that target realtors."
